Anando M. Sexton is a young spoken word performance artist. Having yet to master the actual art of writing, his spontaneously spoken Free Verse and Haiku is transcribed by his proud Poet father. Mr. Sexton was born November 7 1998 and has been involved in the Dallas area Spoken Word Scene for nearly three years. He has performed at the Oak Cliff Circle of Poets, Poets Corner at Barnes and Noble Booksellers, The Irving Poetry Society, the Arts Landing Gallery, and he also graced the stage at the spring 2001 annual Deep Ellum Poetry Festival. Recently, when asked about his views on the Dallas spoken word scene, the usually verbose Mr. Sexton responded by simply saying "I'm a poet". In The Car Passing a Park The trees drove to morning. Stop signs went with the cars to the park in Dallas. The black building fell apart in a different park.
